Located in Zionsville, Indiana, Throwback Drums was been established to cultivate my personal passion for drumming through teaching new & experienced drummers.  I love everything about the instrument & my passion for playing has evolved into drum restoration projects.  As a result of recently restoring a variety of drums from the 1910’s through the 1970’s, I have learned to appreciate the quality (and history) of vintage drums.  It was extremely rewarding to restore these old, abandoned & damaged drums to “like new” condition, while keeping the character of the drums from the last 50 to 100 years.  Throwing these drums back into the world to create music and teach students is one of the most rewarding projects I have ever worked on.  And this is why my drum studio is called “THROWBACK DRUMS“!
